EQUIPMENTS NEEDED TO HAVE HOTPOT AT HOME:

You do need the special equipments of hotpot at home but you can also use theur alternative sources. Lets start with the main once.

Heat source:
You need an electric hotpot burner that comes with a pot. If you don't want yo purchase this then you can also use any electric burner or table gas burner. But if you want you make hotpot on regular basis than i will suggest you to buy that electric hotpot burner it is the best for making hotpot also the pot that comes with us are removable so use can wash it easily. 

Pot:
If you are planning to buy the electric hotpot burner than you don't need to invest money on pot because the pot comes with the burner. But if you ate going to use regular electric Burner then you must have to buy a pot. The ideal pot for chines hot is stainless steel pot that is round and deep which hold large quantity of soup and not that deep.in which you ingredients will lost at the bottom. Although the stainless steel pot is not very thick so it make you soup bubbling quickly and cook your food in less time.

Chopsticks:
Hotpot is best eaten with bamboo chopsticks or wooden chopsticks, as it doesn't get hot and cool immediately. The metallic and plastics chopsticks are not ideal, as plastic melts when it gets hot and metal conduct heat it will burn your hands.

Metal hotpot basket:
It is not very necessary, but it works great. It is wire sieves and contain large holes. It nest your ingredients and prevent the soup come with noodles or dumplings.
